A total of 28 industry interferences were reported in February, 2022. Notable among these we identified that, the exhibition, titled Embrace Friendship: Celebrating 50 years of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship, has been organized by Japan Tobacco International Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Bidi Sramik Federation has formed a human chain, sit-in stage in front of the house of Finance Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal at Lalmai in Cumilla on 5-point demand to survive the bidi industry. With the technical assistance of the Union, WBB Trust has collected all the information and prepared a brief report about the interferences done by the tobacco companies.
