6 Farmers' Markets are being organized regularly every Friday in Ward No. 1, 19, 26, 39, 55, and 56 of Dhaka South City Corporation. Although on a small scale, the markets are playing a role in meeting the nutritional needs of Dhaka residents. These markets have already gained popularity among consumers. In addition to sustaining the markets under the leadership of the Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation through a specific policy, it is necessary to build a farmer's market in each ward. Today, on February 9, 2023, at 10.00 am, the speakers said this at the workshop on Learning Sharing Workshop on the experience of farmers' market of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Project Manager of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust, Naima Akter, presented the keynote speech and Ziaur Rahman, Senior Project Manager of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust moderated the event. The workshop was presided over by Numeri Zaman, Joint Secretary, Development Division of Local Government Division. Chief Executive Officer (Additional Secretary) of Dhaka South City Corporation Md. Mizanur Rahman was present as the chief guest, Panel Mayor-1 of DSCC Md. Shahid Ullah and Deputy Secretary of Local Government Division Md. Mustafizur Rahman were present as special guests at the workshop. Gaous Pearee, Director, Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust; Xavier Bouan, Senior Technical Advisor, and National Project Coordinator Jainal Abedin, Dhaka Food System Project; spoke at the event.
