On 22 August 2016, a seminar titled “Necessity of implementing FCTC article 5.3 and ensuring sustainable funding in tobacco control” held at Divisional Commissioners office, Rangpur. Additional Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Minu Shil presided over the seminar where Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Kazi Hasan Ahmed was present as chief guest.  As special guest, there was present Additional IGP at Rangpur range Bashir Ahmed (PPM Bar), Director (Health) Dr. Mohammad Mozammel Hossain. Additional District Magistrate of Rangpur AKM Maruf Hasan, Director of WBB Trust Gaous Pearee and Executive Director of Shado Sarowar Jamil gave speeches. WBB Trust’s Program Manager Syeda Anonna Rahman moderated the seminar and Project Officer Sharmin Akter Rini presented keynote presentation.

WBB Trust, Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Alliance, Shado and The Union jointly organized the program with the collaboration of Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Rangpur.

Among others, officer’s from Youth Development Department, district Civil Surgeon Office, Agriculture Extension Department, District Sports Office, District Information Officer, District Press Club and other govt. and nob-govt. organizations representatives attended the seminar.
