A family builds up by a combination of male and female. But so far can be seen women perform house hold work more. To build an ideal family both male and female participation is important. That is how an ideal family will form. On 23 December 2015 at 11 am in front of Razu Sculpture in TCS both WBB (Work for a Better Bangladesh) Trust and AUW (Asian University for Women) jointly have arranged a leaflet campaign and a human tie where many speakers expressed their opinion.
The program was chaired by Deputy Program manager Naznin Kabir, WBB Trust and also present Chairman Abu Naser Khan, Poribesh Bachao Andolon (Poba), Program Manager Sayeda Ananna Rahman, Senior Project Officer Ziaur Rahman, Project Officer Atikur Rahman, Assistant Advocacy Officer Tanzila Chowdhury, WBB Trust, Researcher Mohiuddin Rasel, DIU and Students of AUW, represnter of various organization.
According to the statistic they said that in urban areas women do 35-45 kinds of work and in rural area women do 45 kinds of work in which they take 20 hours approximately. Men’s participation is important beside women in house hold work, in family all should work with a plan to shopping, preparing food, cooking and cleaning. It is seen that women do both internal and external works. For this they are to handle double pressure. In every family if men work beside women than it becomes an ideal family.
Sri Lankan, Bhutanese, Afghan, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Nepalese and Bangladeshi intotal 12 Students of AUW participated in the human tie and leaflet campaign. Beside these Social organization TCRC Uddoyg, Shopner shiri Somaj kollan songstha, Hunger project also were participated.
