Tobacco control law should be developed for saving 57 thousand peoples Speakers said on divisional workshop on Tobacco control at Barisal. Resturent, workplace should be incorporated and all public place and public transport should declare as 100% smoke free on law amendment for saving non-smokers from passive smoking. Also law implementation process should make easy and increase Tobacco Company punishment for law violations. Also ban tobacco farming in new land-new area and control tobacco cultivations for food security, environmental safety.

Speakers recommend those suggestions at divisional workshop on tobacco control in Barisal. WBB Trust and SCOPE jointly organized this workshop on 4 May 2010. While 35 NGOs attended from different district and sub districts from the Barishal Division.
