WBB Trust arranged a views exchange meeting with the journalist on 'Development of family Relationship through Male Participation in Household Work' on the occasion of International Family Day (15 May 2006) at its conference room.  In this meeting  a paper was presented  about its views how husband can help there wives and how the male can be benefited by helping wives in household work. On that meeting two families (husband and wife) also invited as participant. It was very interesting, educative and fascinating though it was the first meeting with the journalist and with the families in an informal way. The members of the invited families discussed frankly and lively about their husband's and wife's contribution in household work. The journalist also took part in the meeting. The participants told that it was a very essential arrangement. It was badly needed for them as they don't get opportunity to talk with each other. They thanked the organizer for the arrangement.

With the coordination of WBB Trust and funding by CIDA, ten NGO's from eight districts of Bangladesh conducted research on violence against women, women's worth, and husband-wife relationships. A report based on the research was published in January 2006. A press conference was organized to show the result and research findings on 27 February 2006. The keynote paper was presented by Shakila Ruma, project officer of WBB's gender project.
